How To Save Money On Your Resin Hobby!

NEWSFLASH: Resin is an expensive hobby! But that doesn't mean it can't be done in a budget friendly manner.
Some of the things you need on hand when working with resin can be expensive and some can be easily sourced from the local craft store and dollar store.
Before we get to the list of Dollar Tree items you can find I will say from experience that the ol' saying is true: 'You get what you pay for'. But this is great starting point to get pouring right away. However, there are two things I don't think you should cheap out on and that's resin and molds. Here's why:
Resin is the main item you will be purchasing over and over and has been a growing and booming industry for the past few years and is expected to continue to grow in the coming years. So that means that new Resin's are going to be popping up everywhere. Go with a trusted brand, look at what there customers are really saying, and see how long they have been in the industry.
Molds; molds you can buy everywhere now which is amazing. Know that when you purchase your molds you will be able to get more than one use out of them if you look after them well so they are a great item to invest in.
Now lets take a look at the $ items you can pick up today!
- wooden craft sticks
- glitters
- shower curtain (makes a great drop cloth that you can pick resin drips off)
- Large silicone spatulas for stirring larger amounts of resin
- Large plastic measuring jugs
- Isopropyl Alcohol (if its in stock!)
- Plastic cups
